On Monday, November 4, the Rotary Club of Pen organized a Diwali celebration event, "Deep Sandhya," at the Snehangan Old Age Home run by Ahilya Mahila Mandal. The event was held in collaboration with Nene's Karaoke Studio, Pen, creating a unique atmosphere filled with joy. The program began with the residents of the old age home lighting diyas for the ceremonial lamp lighting. Members of Nene’s Karaoke Studio sang beautiful songs for the elderly residents, who responded enthusiastically to the performance. The purpose behind organizing such an event, as expressed by Rotary Club of Pen President Sanyogita Temghare, was to bring joy to the residents. She also shared that spending time with these elderly individuals brings a different kind of happiness. The success of the event was made possible through the support of Mangesh Nene, head of Nene’s Karaoke Studio; Santosh Patil, the studio's esteemed singer, guru, and guide; and Ashwinitai Gadgil, President of Snehangan, along with the respected Vasanti Tai Dev. Attending the event were members of Nene’s Karaoke Studio as well as former Rotary Club of Pen presidents Rotarian Jayant Apte, Jayesh Shah, Ashok Jain, Madhubala Nikam, and members Anil Ishware and Mukund Temghare.
