On September 30, the Rotary Club of Pen, marking the occasion of Pitru Paksha, distributed snacks at the Ahilya Mandal Old Age Home in Pen. Traditionally, Pitru Paksha involves offering food to ancestors, but the club demonstrated an act of humanity by providing snacks to the elderly residents. They engaged in conversations, exchanged thoughts, and distributed idli sambar, masala milk, and biscuits. They also provided diaries and pens to all residents. World Peace Week concluded with a peace pledge taken together with the elderly residents and staff of the old age home.
