On September 4, 2024, Teacher's Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and in a unique manner at the residential vocational training center for intellectually challenged students of the Aai Day Care Institute. Teachers exchanged their usual classes and taught different students with prior preparation. This activity fostered a deeper bond between the students and the teachers for one another. On this significant occasion, the Rotary Club of Pen honored the dedicated teachers, Nisha Prashant Patil and Jyotsna Hari Wargude, with a certificate of appreciation and gifts presented by the club president, Mrs. Sanyogita Temghare, and Rotarian Mr. Dilip Punamiya. All the other teachers were honored with bouquets by Mrs. Sangeeta Mane, Administrative Officer of Pen Municipal Council, and Mrs. Jyoti Mane, a professor at Pen Polytechnic. The speakers, including Sangeeta Mane, praised the efforts of the institute's president, Mrs. Premlata Patil, and executive president, Mrs. Swati Mohite, for successfully managing the challenging and emotionally demanding work with meticulous planning and sensitivity alongside the support of all the teachers. The event was attended by the esteemed members of the Rotary Club of Pen, including President Sanyogita Temghare, past president Dilip Punamiya, Jayesh Shah, member Anil Ishware, and Mukund Temghare. The speech by student Aditya Ramakrishnan and the dance performance by the pre-vocational students left the guests deeply moved. The program was introduced by special educator Siddhant Mhatre, anchored by student Aniket Keskar, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mansi Bapat.
