Ngse New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) Team of Rotary International District (RID) 3131 carried out the FIRST-EVER INTERNATIONAL NEW GENERATION SERVICE EXCHANGE: GROUP EXCHANGE outside India! NGSE Team of RID 3131, India and Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown, Dubai, RID 2452, United Arab Emirates (UAE) joined hands for the Group Exchange from 12th October 2023 to 19th October 2023 and the follow-up sessions in November, 2023. This was indeed a signature NGSE Group Exchange that happened for the FIRST time in RID 3131 and RID 2452. RID 3131, India sponsored eight young participants: Rtr Radhika Shinde, Rtr Samrudha Uchil, Rtr Aryaan Aawate, Rtr Sameer Ganpule, Gaurav Khalapurkar, Siddhant Temghare, Soham Koli and Siddheya Lohar. Their internship entitled “Fundamental Programme in Artificial Intelligence, Data and Cloud” was conducted by the UAE Branch of “The DataTech Labs”. The outbound students were sponsored by the Rotar y Club of Akurdi, Rotary Club of Patalganga, Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite, Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune, Rotary Club of Khopoli, Rotary Club of Pen, Rotary Club of Panvel Mahanagar and Rotary Club of Pune Prime City respectively and were hosted by the Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown, Dubai, UAE. The internship curriculum was designed and executed by Rtn Dr Amit Andre, CEO of the DataTech Labs and the advisor to the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, United Arab Emirates. The orientation meet and follow-up sessions were organised by the Rotary Club of Pune Deccan Gymkhana, RID 3131. The internship programme consisted of insightful hands-on sessions, a visit to the Future Museum and participation in the GITEX 2023. The informative and engaging sessions conducted by Rtn Dr Amit Andre provided the interns with valuable insights into the latest trends and developments in AI, Data, and Cloud technologies. The participants visited some of the most popular tourist destinations in Dubai including the Desert Safari, Burj Khalifa, Marina Cruise, and Dubai Mall. As a part of the NGSE Group Exchange Programme, the interns not only participated in the community development project “End the Litter Trail” at Beach of Fujairah, UAE of the local Rotaract Clubs of Scheveningen and Dubai but also were invited by the Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown for a flag exchange ceremony. President Rtn Devananda Mahadeva, Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown said, “The internship is a testament to the Rotary’s commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders and innovators, and I believe that this is an important investment in the future of India.” Rtn Dr. Amit pondered, “I am confident that the skills and knowledge gained during the internship will serve the interns well in their future careers in AI data and cloud computing. I look forward to hearing about their continued success in this rapidly growing industry.” For Me, attending the International Internship in AI in Dubai was a valuable experience. The presentations covered diverse topics, from machine learning applications to ethical considerations in AI development. Engaging discussions highlighted the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, providing insights into its current challenges and future potential. The overall experience of Dubai tends to be a mix of inspiring modernity, and cultural richness”, stated Siddhant Temghare.
