Vocational Visit Organized by Rotary Club of Pen for Interact Students of Anand School As January is observed as Vocational Month, the Rotary Club of Pen arranged a vocational visit for the Interact students of Anand School. The students visited the renowned Sane Gruh Udyog, a papad-making enterprise in Pen, famous for its special poha (flattened rice) and poha papads. At Sane Gruh Udyog, various types of papads, including poha papads, are made. This family-run business has been operational for three generations. While the business initially relied on hand-rolling papads, it has now transitioned to using machinery for production. The entire process—from preparing poha flour to kneading the dough, rolling the papads, and drying them—is now carried out with the help of machines. The students were given a practical demonstration of this process, offering them a firsthand understanding of how a successful local enterprise operates efficiently. Rotary Club of Pen members, including Jayesh Shah, Vijay Shah, Anil Ishware, and Mukund Temghare, were present for this program. It served as an excellent example for the students to witness how a thriving business is run in their own hometown.
