On August 17, 2024, Rotary Club of Pen organized a free cataract screening and surgery camp. This camp was conducted in collaboration with Rotary Club Amarnath North and Bhakti Vedanta Hospital Mira Road at Mahatma Gandhi Mandir Peth. The camp received an overwhelming response, with nearly 150 patients being screened, and 40 of them were selected for cataract surgery at Bhakti Vedanta Hospital Mira Road. The surgeries were performed entirely free of charge. Following this project, the patients became very emotional. This was a very successful service project for Rotary Club of Pen in the month of August.
